Me: Oh, by the way, did you leave some meat to thaw in the sink the other day?

Ian: Nah, wasn't me.

Me: ...like, just before you went away...

Ian: ...that was Smedley...

/me raises an eyebrow

Ian:...yeah, I stuck the meat in the the sink to thaw, and then told Smed to eat it... [I'm guessing this was when Smed (the other flatmate) was on the computer...]

/me raises other eyebrow,_knowing_this was gonna be good, consider I had to clean up the rotting mess when I got back from your place the other day

Ian:...cause I was going away, and when i got back it was still there so I left it for Smed to clean up.....

Me:...I cleaned it up...[I had found it, buried under the microwave plate, in the sink, approximately 3 days after he had returned (he was gone for 2). In my defense, I was present for only 2 of these days, of which had consisted of 13 hours of sleep, about 2 hours homework, and 2 hours of preparing to go out to various places]


...LATER THAT EVENING...


Me, after spending 10 minutes looking for the grater, encountering a bowl with a combination of water and melted, grated cheese in it, comes to the conculsion that:

a) Smed would have scrape the plate even if he had to dash off...and therefore...

b) Ian was the last person to have actually seen the grater

Me: Ian, y'seen the grater around?

Ian: It's in the fridge [!!!!!! I thought this was reserved for the remote control, although the favorite place for_that_is under Ian's bed....]

Me: What's it doing in the fridge?

Ian: It was lonely, and the tomatoes....

/me sighs, and gets the grater from the fridge....


....And I wonder why I eat take-out so much.....
